Give Cita-Cita...help a young person realize their dream.

The Indonesian people have a phrase that is difficult to translate into one word in English.

Cita-cita means "What is your big dream for your life?"

Superinto

Superinto's cita-cita is to be a mechanical engineer.

He attended a special high school focusing on engine repair and graduated in 2016.   He is currently living in a one room flat and just barely supporting himself by repairing engines.

Superinto wants to go to college. There is no chance for him to support a family in the future unless he gets the college education he so desperately dreams of.

21 Bamban Racang, West Kalimantan Elementary School

Grades 1-5;  approximately 200 students.

When we asked the Headmaster what the school needed most, he said, "We need pencils and paper.  It's very hard for the children to learn without these basic tools."

That day, we traveled to the nearest city and bought 200 composition notebooks and 200 pencils for about $60. The Headmaster and teachers were ecstatic.

It's so easy make a big difference here.
