Suciani is the second youngest of seven children in her family. She was born in a very poor, remote village on the island of Kalimantan and left home at age 13 for the opportunity to live at Mama Sayang Orphanage and attend high school in West Java.
She is the first woman in her family to potentially earn a college degree.
She is has been in college for 3 years already and attends Interstudi University in Jakarta, West Java.
Suci is a recipient of one of Braeburn's full-ride scholarships which covers tuition, fees and all living expenses while she is in school.
