Superinto has always had a knack for engines.  In the orphanage, he learned about them by repairing things like water pumps and electric motors. He went to a special High School for engine repair. 

This is the one room flat where Superinto lives by himself.  He has a mat on the floor for sleeping and a single light bulb.  Without an education, this will likely be his living conditions indefinitely.  It's nearly impossible for a young person in his situation to get married and support a family under these conditions of extreme poverty. 

Superinto has an American flag hanging in his room.  To him, it symbolizes generosity, freedom and the opportunity for a better life.  Knowing Superinto has reminded us of the the hope American's bring to far corners of the world and of the responsibility that comes with living in a first world country.
